The actress will join filmmaker Anurag Basu and dancer Geeta Kapoor as judge for the fourth edition of a dance reality show. Shilpa Shetty, who wrapped the shooting of two films, Hungama 2 as well as Nikamma with different directors and star casts, says she is glad to be reunited with the other two judges.

“I have not met any of these guys for a year and a half now and have hardly met people until recently. I have really missed them,” she says, explaining that safety has been her and the show’s primary objective. “That is why we are having online auditions now. It is a very difficult and different process.”

The actress spent the lockdown at home with son Viaan and one-yearold daughter Samisha. “I got such a beautiful daughter Samisha before the lockdown and I did spend a lot of time with the children. I realised you cannot plan a lot of things,” she says.

The actress was recently seen taking Samisha to the Siddhi Vinayak temple in Mumbai. “In our tradition, we take a child to temple on its fortieth day. But then on Samisha’s fortieth day, there was COVID and the lockdown, so we took her on the day she completed a year. Coincidentally, it was Ganesh Jayanti that day, which made the occasion all the more special. But I was completely overwhelmed by the kind of love that Samisha got from the people and I am truly thankful,” adds Shilpa.

The actress says there is a lesson to be learnt from the lockdown. “Some kind of a realisation has dawned on us about how important it is to spend time with family. People have stopped to try and over achieve at the cost of family,” she says.
