Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who completed 100 days in office on Friday, presented the report card of his government while asserting that 100 days may be too short a period to bring about transformative changes, especially in governance, but his government has succeeded in sowing the seeds of changes that would bear fruits shortly.

promised during the Assembly polls, Mr Sarma, on Saturday, said that they have also decided to enhance the monthly stipend for poor families under the Orunodoi Scheme to `1,000 from the existing `830 from next month.

subjects for all students invariably from all mediums. They will learn Assamese and Indian history as well as geography up to Class 10. It will be included in the syllabus.”
