Lady of Tarot speaks about welcoming new beginnings and the common symbols associated with them

-

I“The beginning is the important part of the work.” believe new beginnings, entailing anything, no matter how small or big — from someone getting married, getting a new job or a promotion to starting school, having a baby, or reopening an office after the pandemic — need to be celebrated. But a new beginning doesn’t have to always be marked by momentous events in one’s life. It can be something as simple as deciding to becoming a better version of yourself. You could wake up one day and decide to make a fresh start. You may decide to quit smoking or let go of a toxic relationship, or just decide to start a meditation practice.

The concept of new beginnings is so positive and propitious that there are many universal symbols used to represent it. One such symbol is the new moon. It marks the start of a new lunar cycle, thereby portraying a new phase in one’s life. The new moon offers you a chance to reflect on and make any changes to your life. It’s a fresh start and a new beginning for all. Another symbol of newness and positivity is a rainbow. Just like a rainbow after rains, so too in your life there will come a rainbow after most difficult times. It’s a new beginning for you and a chance to change your life.

Likewise, daffodils are one of the first flowers to bloom when spring arrives as a clear sign that winter is over. This is why they also represent new beginnings, renewal and rebirth, celebrating what’s to come. These symbols are unique and used in many different cultures and religions all over the world.

My dear readers, I wish you’re always ready to start afresh and create new beginnings. In the words of my favourite author, T.S. Eliot, “Every moment is a fresh beginning.”

On a side note, the Lady of Tarot studio is reopening after the pandemic. So, here’s raising a toast to new beginnings!
