Ever seen Santa’s footprints? We haven’t either! This Christmas, how about we take a page out of Santa’s book and learn how to reduce our ecological footprint? Let’s go from paper to paperless and from plastic to craft-tastic with these DIY Sustainabl­e Christmas ideas! A Doughy Delight

INGREDIENT­S

1 cup Plain All-Purpose Flour ½ cup Table Salt

½ cup Water

Thread

INSTRUCTIO­NS

1. In a bowl mix the 3 ingredient­s together.

2. Knead on a lightly floured surface until smooth.

3. Roll out or cut into the shapes you want using a knife or cookie cutters. (Don’t forget to make a hole for the string to go through)

4. On a piece of kitchen paper, place 1 or 2 in the microwave.

5. Microwave in 10 second bursts checking regularly. (It is important to microwave it for only 10 seconds at a time, to avoid it from burning as each microwave is different)

6. Once dry, remove from the microwave and allow to cool before painting.

7. Repeat the process with the others once you know how long it takes to dry in your microwave!

8. Once you have painted your decoration, tie a string through the hole and hang it up on your Christmas tree!

INGREDIENT­S

1 Orange

White and black acryclic paint Ribbons for hanging Knife

INSTRUCTIO­NS

1. Slice the orange into about 1 cm slices

2. Place the orange slices in the sun on a dry surface

3. Paint two white sections onto your orange like in the picture below. Let dry.

4. Next paint the eyes and nose with black paint. Let dry.

5. Take some ribbon and push it through the top of the orange slice with something sharp.

6. Knot the ribbon and hang it on your tree!
