Britney’s sister sent a legal notice, told to back off
The sisters have been at each other’s throat for years, but with the younger one coming out with her memoir, it’s all going dark, very quickly
It seems there’s no end in sight for Britney Spears. After the painfully long fight to end her conservatorship, the Toxic singer has more dirty linen coming out to get washed in public. This time it’s her younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears, who seems to have incited the years-on-end feud again. Jamie is coming out with her new memoir, Things I Should Have Said. However, according to reports splashed across various tabloids and papers across the web, Britney’s lawyer Mathew Rosengart has sent a legal ceaseand-desist letter to Jamie for what the lawyer calls an “ill-timed” book that makes “misleading or outrageous claims” about Britney.
Britney had always criticised her family, without naming anyone, for not supporting her through her days of conservatorship, saying she was “set up” to fail. Incidentally, Jamie Lynn had apparently played a major role in Britney’s conservatorship and was even its financial trustee.
Through accusations and counter accusations on social media, there’s been much dirty linen thrashed out in the public between Britney and her sister, with Britney once blaming Jamie Lynn and then another once ‘clarifying’ what she meant.
Then, she unfollowed Jamie Lynn on Instagram.
In an interview on “Good Morning America” on 12 January this year, Jamie Lynn expressed confusion at why her relationship with Britney was strained, saying she didn’t even “understand” the conservatorship, and felt “happy” when it ended. But earlier this week, Britney wrote on her Instagram, “Jamie Lynn, I wasn’t strong enough to do what should have been done ... slapped you and Mamma right across your f***ing faces [sic] !!!!! ” Ouch!
