Of course, good looks can take you far but in reality it’s just an added bonus! A good looking face and body is no match for a genuinely happy and kind person who easily wins hearts. Truth is: the more charming you are, the less you need to worry about being good looking.

But you don’t have to take our word for it. A study published in the journal Psychological Science, titled Love is in the Gaze: An Eye-Tracking Study of Love and Sexual Desire by Mylene Bolmont, John T. Cacioppo, and Stephanie Cacioppo, concluded that when looking at a visual stimulus, a person’s gaze shifts as a function of his/her goal — love or lust.

In other words, while good looks can get another’s attention, there’s more to attractiveness than just appearances. Here are the signs you can depend on to understand if another’s attracted to you.

CLOSING IN DISTANCES

According to a human behaviour research lab, the distance of 8 inches from you is your intimacy zone. So be sure anyone who likes to get a little closer, less than 8 inches from you, is most likely attracted to you.

TOUCHY-FEELY CLUES

Research states that humans feel good when we touch someone we like or find attractive — because touching someone you like causes your brain to release oxytocin, the feel-good hormone. So, rest assured if someone closes in a lot when interacting with you, they’d soon extend that to a touch. Know then that you’re attractive to them.

THE GAZE

It’s true that given a choice, we’d prefer to look at something we like. So take that as a clue if you find someone catching your eye from across a crowded room. There’s something about you that’s caught his/her attention, baby!

THE VIBE TEST

What is the vibe you give? Do you seem to carry a positive energy around you, feeling and looking enthusiastic? Do you have the ability to keep your group of acquaintances and friends engaged? It’s possible that you already seem interesting to several around you. Beauty industry good-look standards be damned!
