Cong plans to set up panel for coordination with AAP
Delhi Congress on Thursday said that it is forming a coordination committee to coordinate with alliance partners ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
A senior Congress leader said that the committee is likely to be formed in the next couple of days since the exercise is already underway.
“We are forming a coordination committee that will coordinate with the allies. It is also for the inner party coordination with the three candidates who are fighting the Lok Sabha polls here. The committee will also be coordinating with the senior leaders of the party,” he said.
The leader further stated that they will focus on several issues which include unemployment, inflation, and related to small scale industries during their campaign for the polls.
A manifesto is also being prepared on the local issues on three seats.
The party will highlight the issues being faced by the people in those areas and will also mention what they will do for them, the Congress leader added.
Delhi Congress chief Arvinder Singh Lovely on Wednesday held a meeting with senior leaders of the party to draw up a roadmap for the Lok Sabha elections.
The meeting was held to assign duty to Congress leaders and workers not only in the constituencies of the three Congress candidates but also in the constituencies of the four INDIA bloc partners.
Mr Lovely said the Congress and INDIA bloc candidates are standing on very strong wickets and they are sure to sweep all the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi.
Delhi's seven Lok Sabha seats will go to the polls in the sixth phase on May 25.
