RBI slaps R27-cr fine on 13 banks for Fema violations

CRACKING down on Foreign Exchange Management Act violations and KYC lapses, the Reserve Bank of India has imposed R27 crore in penalties on 13 public and private sector banks. The RBI also asked eight other banks to ensure strict compliance with guidelines.
