NHPC Q1 net up 7.5% to crore

State-owned NHPC today reported a 7.47% rise in standalone net profit at R857.82 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016. The company had posted a standalone net profit of R798.17 crore in the year-ago period. Income from operations increased to R2,196.79 crore, from R2,001.67 crore in the year-ago period. Total expenses of the company during April-June period increased to R1,178.67 crore, over R1,078.48 crore in the corresponding period of previous fiscal.
