Sun Pharma Q1 net zooms over 3-fold to R2,033 cr

New Delhi, Aug 12: Sun Pharmaceutical Industries’ consolidated net profit zoomed more than 3-fold to

R2,033.71 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 201617, on account of robust sales. It had posted net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit of associates and joint ventures of R555.90 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Sun Phar ma said in a BSE filing.

The company’s consolidated total income from operations rose to R8,242.99 crore for the first quarter of the current fiscal, as against

R6,761.49 crore for the same period of 2015-16.

Sun Pharma stock closed 0.88% down at R801.80 on BSE.
