Sandhya murder: Narco tests on Shreya

-

The Mumbai crime branch officials started narcoanalysis, brain mapping and lie detector tests on Shreya Verma, girlfriend of Raghuveer Singh, son of murder victim Sandhya Singh, from Tuesday. The tests were conducted at the Forensic Sciences Laboratory in Ahmedabad and will be completed in next seven to eight days, police said. On the first day of tests, Shreya was quizzed by experts at the FSL to find out if she had knowledge of Sandhya’s murder. Several questions were asked to Shreya, which included questions about Sandhya’s disappearance and her relationship with the deceased. Sandhya, who was the sister of musician duo Jatin Lalit and Bollywood actresses Sulakshna and Vijeta Pandit, went missing on December 13 last year and her partial skeleton was found on the Palm Beach Road on January 28 this year. Raghuveer and Shreya have been questioned by the Navi Mumbai police as well as the Mumbai police Crime Branch in connection with the crime. Last month, the Mumbai Crime Branch applied for permission to subject both of them to lie detector, brain mapping and narco analysis tests. While Shreya consented, Raghuveer laid down a host of conditions, and the court ultimately denied permission to subject him to the tests.
