Duo arrested for becoming public nuisance

An 18-year-old prostitute and a 27-year-old man were arrested by the Azad Maidan police for indulging in indecent behaviour in a public area in Churchgate late on Monday night. The police said the officer of the Government Railway Police spotted Sufian Chaudhary and the woman (name withheld) indulging indecently on the footpath of Churchgate station. The duo were brought to GRP officials and the case was later transferred to Azad Maidan police station. “The duo were booked under section 110 and 117 of Bombay Police Act and were fined Rs 150, said senior police inspector Narendra Chandrapal Singh of Azad Maidan police station.
