Women never wear 75 per cent of their shoes!

Women never wear three out of f our pairs of shoes they own, a new UK survey has found.

The average woman owns 20 pairs of shoes, b ut some ar e ne ver w orn because they ar e uncomfortable or don't match an outfit. Some shoes ar e discarded as they are unwant ed gifts . A surprising 41 per cent w omen sai d they o wned expensi ve shoes w hich they never wore to keep them from getting damaged.

Of more than 2,000 women polled, 86 per cent admitted they had at least one pair of footwear t hey don' t w ear, the 'Daily Express' reported. Researchers estimated that even at the cheaper end, at a cost of 24 pounds a pair, a woman's typical footwear collect ion w ould be worth 480 pounds reported PTI.

"I was s urprised t o see ho w man y women openly admitted to h aving wasted money on f ootwear, especially considering t he cumulative cost of their shoe collection," sai d George Charles, of V oucherCodesPro.co.uk, which conducted the survey. The most common reason women g ave for why they didn't wear new s hoes was because they turned out to be too high or too tight. Twenty per cent didn't like them when they got them home.
