PM Modi’s earlier visit to Berlin significantly refurbished the friendly relations between the two countries and Merkel seems keen to build on it. The two strong democracies recently had a sore point over the use of German language in Kendriya Vidyalayas, but the problem has been amicably sorted out. Also, four Indian languages will be promoted in Germany. As any foreign investor, Germany needs to be assured of safety and security in investing big in India, and Modi might have just done that.
