In case you have missed the point between shade cards and 7-day challenges, we bring you Badvertising - a one hour stand-up and sketch special on everything that is so wrong with advertising that it doesnt even matter anymore. Featuring media and marketing professionals gone rogue - Andy Reghu, Sriraam Padmanaban and Chalta Hai Comedy's Punit Pania, this show promises to be more confession than fiction. Jugnee Festival: Emerging Artists - Past and Present
The Jugnee Indo-Contemporary Dance Festival is a celebration of dance and a platform that brings professional dancers, national and international teachers and dance enthusiasts under one roof. This performance will consist of short pieces by the finalists of our Emerging Artist Award. The Award recognises the need for further training and international exposure for upcoming contemporary dancers in India. This year, 4 finalists chosen from applicants across the country, will perform as part of the Festival. The lucky winner will be awarded a fully-funded trip to study at Impulstanz, Vienna, the world’s leading contemporary dance festival. When: April 29, 09:00 PM. A workshop on Origami
Open Bracket presents, a workshop on Origami- the art of folding paper with Mimansa Vahia. Origami is the art of folding paper to create forms. Although it is associated with Japanese culture, today it is practiced all over the world. Modern Origami is not just an art form, but is much more; as the principles of Origami are being used extensively in the development of Science and technology, Medical technology, Mathematics and engineering and Architecture. Photography Masterclass
The focus of a private lesson is often a great way to quickly advance your technical skills, improve your creative vision and start shooting like a pro. Topics that can be covered include the many ingredients required for making excellent Fashion , Products, nature, Portraits and Wedding photographs. This includes developing your vision and creativity, field technique, composition, post-processing, editing, fine art, and refining the direction of your work. Ananda Hindi Natya Utsav 2016
The 6th edition of NCPA’s annual Hindi theatre festival, Ananda Hindi Natya Utsav, will premiere fours Hindi plays covering a spectrum of genres and generations, presented by well-known theatre groups from the industry. The festival will begin with famous stage and film actor Zakir Hussain’s group Theatre Circle’s Hindi version of Jean Anouilh’s Episode in the Life of an Author, ‘Surajmukhi Aur Hamlet’ that takes on the task of creating a serious comedy. The second day of the festival will stage Page to Stage Production’s (Baroda) ‘Hazaron Khwab Roshan Hain’, a play focusing on the issues of today’s youth such as pressure of study, molestations, virtual addiction and their aspirations for life. Next in line is a revival of Ank’s popular comedy ‘Beewion Ka Madarsa’ based on Moliere’s School For Wives, about an old bachelor who falls in love with hilarious consequences. Ananda Natya Utsav will conclude with an Ekjute’s comedy revolving around a cursed village named, ‘Murkhpur’. When: April 29 to May 1, 7:00 PM (April 30 at 5:00 PM). Where: Various venues at NCPA.
