Bhujbal has been shifted from Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and is currently recuperating in the general ward of St George Hospital. Dr Rohan Sequiera, Bhujbal’s treating doctor said, “His condition has improved and he is already discharged from my side. However, the dental head of department Dr Landge requested for teeth x-rays and final treatment.

Therefore, he will be taken to dental Out-Patient Department (OPD) at St George Dental Hospital for the X-rays and final dental treatment. Following this, he will be shifted to Arthur Road Jail.”

St George Hospital sources stated that the JJ hospital inquiry committee comprised of four heads of departments (including medicine, cardiology and critical care) after checking the medical records of Bhujbal stated in their report that the admission and treatment of Chhagan Bhujbal was justified.

Chhagan Bhujbal was admitted to St George Hospital last Monday following complains of chest pain. Upon being taken to the hospital, it was found that his blood pressure had a high reading of 180/120 mm Hg as against the normal pressure of 120/80 mm HG.

Following this, a couple of tests including cardiology and blood tests were conducted which ruled out the possibility of a heart attack.
