AMBEDKAR HOUSE: STATUS QUO

MUMBAI: Deflating the plan of Dalit leaders to reconstruct the now-demolished Ambedkar Bhavan, the Bombay High Court on Friday directed the parties to maintain a ‘status quo’ at the Dadar-based site. The directions came in response to a suit filed by the People’s Improvement Trust against the ‘Shramdaan’ announced by the Dalit leaders for the reconstruction of the structure which was razed on June 25.
