Authorities said that today the mess was because of the civic body as the BBMP had done absolutely nothing for tackling the monsoon despite being warned that there would be heavy rains. Schools, colleges and many offices were shut due to the rains. Ironically, the skies opened up just when Bengaluru is engaged in an agitation with Goa for water from the Mahayadi River for north Karnataka.
