MEMORIAL CONCERT

WHAT: Eminent Sitar Player Pandit Ravi Chary, with Tabla Genious Pandit Satyajit Talwalkar, Harmonium expert Smt. Mohini Chari Gadekar with Nilesh Gadekar on tabla will perform for the late Pt. Jitendra Gore Memorial Concert. The late Pandit Jitendra Gore, was a popular name in the field of Indian Classical Music for presenting "Samvadini – harmonium with strings!, This is a different kind of “stringed harmonium” tuned in “just/natural” scale as Indian Music solo performanc­e instrument.

ELECTRIC: ELECTRONIC DANCE MUSIC CONCERT

WHAT: The NCPA proudly presents a never-before-seen venture – two nights of Electronic Dance Music (EDM) featuring some of the hottest talents from India. Dualist Inquiry plays a unique blend of live electronic­a and guitar-based rock. On 28th August, Anish Sood performs a mix of house, electro and techno music and has performed alongside some of the biggest names in EDM music such as Steve Aoki, Afrojack and Axwell. GHAZAL CONCERT WITH PANKAJ UDHAS

WHAT: Bombay Natural History Society has organised 'Dhaneshuts­av' a ghazal concert with Shri Pankaj Udhas as an effort to support and aid the conservati­on of Bengal Florican, a Critically Endangered bird. The concert is an effort by the ghazal maestro and BNHS to create awareness about nature conservati­on. Donor passes: Rs. 250, Rs. 500, Rs. 750.
