“Four days back, we received an input from an intelligence source who stated about a possibility that the harbor line would be blown up in a few days. Fortunately, it has not happened and it is likely that it would happen even later. Hence, we have asked the railway police to beef up the security on the railway stations,” said a source.

The Government Railway Police (GRP) have also conducted dog squad checking on the railway stations.

“Our teams have been conducting sabotage checking and increased the track patrolling across all railway stations after we received the tip-off from the city police. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) are also kept on high alert,” said a GRP official.
