Pratik Mhatre records league’s first century

Pratik Mhatre got the honour of recording the first century in the competitio­n when he hit up a fine 107 for MCC here on Sunday. However, Pratik’s knock went in vain as BCA just about squeezed past their target for the loss of nine wickets.

MCC (Red), who have been going great guns so far, scored yet another facile 4wicket win over MCC (Blue) in the afternoon. With this win, they are in contention of the title along with Bhosale Cricket Academy. They play the concluding fixture next week. MCC (Blue) 138 all out (Mukesh Gupta 31, Abhishek Singh 26; Kiran Karande 3/14, Sumit Sutar 2/10) lost to MCC (Red) 141/6 off 25 overs) Diraj Solanki 28, Ajay Singh 27; Manish Vishwakarm­a 2/30, Nihar Rane 2/42) by 4 wkts.
