The Greatest Gambler

- — Nityanand Charan Das

In a gambling match, the most miserable person is the one who wins initially and the most expert Gambler is the one who allows his opponent to do so.

The person who is winning gets used to it and puts all his money into the game thinking he will keep winning. But when he has put enough into the game, the Great Gambler begins to take control and gradually strips the person of all his wealth. The poor fellow wonders what happened...!!

This is our plight. We put all our energy into accumulating and controlling matter all our life and we succeed to a certain extent , especially initially.

But the Time Factor gradually strips us of everything and we wonder what happened.. "I was in control".. "I was winning" etc etc..

Therefore we must have full knowledge of the game and stop gambling with the TIME.Let us put our energy into more constructive work.

TIME factor represents God and He makes it clear in the Bhagavad GITA that everything in this world is temporary and a potential source of misery. Still we gamble thinking we will win and risk all our fortune.

We might exercise control over certain things for some time and feel "WHO IS GOD.. WE ARE THE WORLD". But in due course of time we realise we are Nothing. GOD IS GREAT.

We loose all that we are so proud of.. Our wealth, fame, BEAUTY, YOUTH, OUR NEAR AND DEAR ONES and Ultimately this body itself, through which we try to control.

Therefore let's not gamble against TIME. We must focus our energy on building our assets that are Permanent and which even THE TIME FACTOR cannot take us away from.

And that is OUR SPIRITUAL ASSETS.THE ONLY THING THAT BECOMES OUR PERMANENT ASSET IS THE TIME, MONEY, ENERGY &RESOURCES WE INVEST IN OUR SPIRITUAL LIFE.
