A forgettable debacle

- Johnsont307@gmail.com

This fruitless attempt to resurrect a once dynamic and flourishing career has Govinda, the hasbeen popular actor, writing and producing his own comeback. Previously titled ‘Abhinay Chakra’ the film’s moniker was changed to ‘Aa Gaya Hero’ in order to suit the resurrection of the actor’s almost dead career.

Here Govinda plays the fearless cop ACP Ravindra Verma, who is a baddie himself—but against brutal criminals only. And he has his own home grown technique to rope them in – it’s called Abhinay Chakra – where he puts on a performance and fools them into committing themselves to a prison.

A cross-dressing terrorist, Baddies named Bhujang Bhairav and Vikas Bhairav, an assortment of familiar villains and stereotypical comic-villainy, badly written script, poor characterizations, terrible music, distending camerawork and clunky editing add to the misery. This is as far-fetched as it can get.

Govinda and his troupe of has been actors play up the antics and hope the gallery will be enthused but the inconsistent and unpalatable hamming is not entertaining in the least. The director probably had little say in this monstrosity given Govinda’s penchant for interference.

Frankly, this is a pitiable state for an actor like Govinda to be in. Looks like Salman Khan is done with doing him favors and the rest couldn’t be bothered. Even his fan following might not have anything good to say about this imminently forgettable experience.
