THE BLADE RUNNER SEQUEL TO BE BLEAKER, SAYS GOSLING
Actor Ryan Gosling, who plays the lead in the sequel to Blade Runner, says the new film will be bleaker than the Ridley Scott-directed original. Scott presented a chaotic dystopian world in his groundbreaking sci-fi movie Blade Runner and the sequel 2049, coming after a gap of 35-years, is a continuation of the same story. Gosling teased the story at CinemaCon, reported Entertainment Weekly.“It’s the same iconic universe, but it’s changed over the course of the 30-year gap. It’s a lot bleaker in some ways. The director (Denis Villeneuve) describes it as toxic. But it’s still the Blade Runner universe,” he added.
