Karnataka Bank names three new general managers
Karnataka Bank has promoted three of its deputy general managers Balachandra Y V, Muralidhar Krishna Rao and Nagaraja Rao B, as general managers. Balachandra started his career in the bank in 1995 as manager. In 1997, he was designated as company secretary. He was elevated to cadre of chief manager in 2004 and assistant general manager in 2008. In 2011, he was promoted as deputy general manager and continued to head the bank’s secretarial department at HO. Since then, he has held several positions at the bank.
Muralidhar Krishna Rao started his career in the Bank in 1991 as an officer and has rich experience spanning over two and half decades in various capacities and at various centres, both at operational and administrative levels. He was elevated to the cadre of chief manager in 2004 and initially served in the Bank’s Credit Department and later headed the New Delhi – Connaught Place branch and then posted to the Treasury & Accounts Department at HO.
Nagaraja Rao started his career in the bank in 1984 and has rich experience spanning over three decades at the operational level. Upon his elevation to the cadre of chief manager in 2007, Rao B headed the Bank’s Mumbai – Fort and Mumbai – Overseas Branches. He was elevated to the position of assistant general manager in 2011 and headed the bank’s Mumbai – Corporate Finance Branch. Nagaraja was promoted as deputy general manager in April 2013 and has been heading the bank’s Mumbai Region since then.
