Sahaja Yoga Meditation supports...

- — M B Ratnannavar

Sahaja meditation explained by Her Holiness Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi is simple and unique. Benefits derived from it are countless. An Indian experienced Sahaja Yoga meditation practitioner now in US says, “What a terrible moment it could be, when one is diagnosed and declared to have acute leukemia at its final stage! My doctor confirmed it developed at least four months back. Standing it for a month is even rare on acute stage. What would be the chances! The sudden realization could well make any heart loose bits, but this heart remained steady.

Credit goes to Sahaja Yoga meditation. It taught me that I am not this body, not this mind, but pure spirit. And spirit is eternal, it never takes birth, never dies, simply witnesses the whole show. Was such a confidence, such solace - the fear simply disappeared. Sahaja Yoga gave me complete security of a little baby in the womb of its mother.

Following seven months found intense highly expensive treatment in remote confinement of the hospital, often facing death’s breath from so close. But the hopeless present or clueless future of entire family failed to intimidate any. As all of us were practicing this meditation for some time, we always remained extremely calm and peaceful to everyone’s amazement.

Continuing practice of meditation at hospital helped me in never feeling any crisis. While entering my treatment room doctor used to comment that he felt like entering a temple. The serenity within and around was so evident. Even nurses used to bring families of difficult patients, to show how one family can go through this painful phase so peacefully. Few inspired even learnt about this meditation during my stay.

It generally takes several months for recovery and to come out of traumatic memories. But our meditation helped us as passing experience of a journey. After recovery, I decided to move to USA for work. Worries of such a move with a feeble person to a new place could completely ruin anyone’s peace. But peaceful silence of meditative minds was able to cow down all the noise within. The self-confidence helped me in settling down fast in foreign land. Complete credit goes to our practice of Sahaja Yoga, the difficult times helped us recognize its complete potential.”
