The first season of the show will be a 10-part series and the 32-year-old actor says they will begin shooting once he wraps filming his movie Shaadi

Mein Zaroor Ana. "We will start the shoot soon. I am going to shave my head half like he had. I will try and be physically as close to him as possible. I will also learn Bengali and gain some weight. I am happy that finally somebody asked me to gain weight. So I will binge eat and have a lot of sweets," Rajkummar said.

When asked if the series will address the conspiracy theories surrounding Netaji's life and death, Rajkummar says through the show, they will try and reach to a conclusion. "There will be a lot of conspiracy theories, but we will try and reach a conclusion. But it is not only about his disappearance. It is about his life in general - how he was a kid, why he chose to fight for Independence, his journey and formation of INA."

Ekta Kapoor, head honcho of Balaji Telefilms has brought together the lethal combination of Hansal Mehta and Rajkummar Rao at her new digital media platform of ALTBalaji. The two have always resulted in making award winning, as well as path breaking movies such as Shahid,

Citylights and Aligarh together.

"We will shoot in Kolkata. We will even go to Europe and many other places. It's my job as an actor to experiment with my personality and create as many characters as I can in front of the camera," Rajkummar said.

Sharing his views about the great freedom fighter, Rao added, “Bose had quite a fascinating life and his love for motherland is not hidden from anyone, and it also makes me feel very responsible when I am playing such roles because people know the legendary freedom fighter and a lot of expectations are over me.”

"I have been reading a lot of his books. His love for his motherland -- that is something which is so selfless. Selfless love is something where you don't expect anything in return" he added.

Nevertheless the actor is excited about playing such a national icon.
