Teenager sodomises his 7-year-old cousin
In a shocking case, a teenager boy sodomised his sevenyear-old cousin brother on the pretext of playing games. Accused along with his friend made a video of the sexual assault and uploaded on the social networking site. Both accused have fled while police have invoked POCSO against them.
Kailas Ghodake, police inspector Junnar, said, “According to FIR lodged by Chandu Bhagwan Renake, father of the victim, Aditya Taware who is accused, is son of his sister. They all are labours working at construction sites and stay in Panchshil slum at Junnar in Pune. They are neighbours and all kids in the slum everyday play at nearby open space”.
He added, “On April 17, Aditya, 15 years old accused, get Akshay (name changed), seven years old who studies in second standard in nearby government school to the open space where they play every day. Aditya stripped Akshay and then sodomised him for more than half an hour. Meanwhile Aditya’s friend Mithun Raosaheb Sawant, 19 years old, made video of the scene. Later both the accused uploaded the video on WhatsApp, a social networking site”.
He added, “Seven-year-old child was behaving abnormally, was getting scared and crying regularly and that is why his parents asked him what happened to him. And later he recounted the incident with parents. And then father Chandu Renake approached Junnar police.”
He said, “We have begun to search both the accused but both of them have fled. Once we arrest them, we will be able to understand why they committed crime and uploaded the video on WhatsApp.”
Meanwhile police have invoked relevant sections of Protection of Children from sexual offences (POCSO), Indian Penal code 377 for homosexual activities, 514 for Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, 106 for deadly assault when there is risk of harm to innocent person and 34 for crime done by many people with common intention. Police have also invoked relevant section of Information Technology Act for uploading video on social networking site.
