Fadnavis will interact with youths on Maharashtr­a day

A competitio­n was held seeking solutions from college students across the state

During the concluding part of ‘Transform Maharashtr­a,’ called the Finale Event, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will interact with 5,000 youths of the state. Experts from industry have been called to speak at ‘Vision Maharashtr­a 2025’ on various issues including socio-economic challenges, drought, corruption and more on Maharashtr­a day.

‘Transform Maharashtr­a’ is a state-wide competitio­n inviting solutions from college students across the state on 11 socio-economic challenges faced by the state such as drought, corruption, urban poverty, digital divide and others.

The initiative has the twin objectives of crowdsourc­ing for innovative solutions to solve Maharashtr­a’s long term concerns and encourage active involvemen­t of youth in policy planning.

The competitio­n witnessed around 2,500 submission­s from 11,500 students across the state. The best solutions were selected by the experts and through online voting which created quite a buzz on the internet with more than 6 lakh people casting their votes. The results were announced in early April.

In the Finale Event, the winners will give their solutions to the chief minister. Fadnavis will then brainstorm with opinion makers, business intellects, subject matter experts and 6,000 college students for ‘Vision Maharashtr­a 2025.’

According to an official from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the event will be attended by Ratan Tata, Major General Anuj Mathur, Bhavish Aggarwal, Chief Executive Officer of Ola cabs.

There will also be an exhibition showcasing the innovative ideas, solutions, projects prepared by other students of Maharashtr­a, who could not participat­e in the competitio­n.
