Sushil Modi continues to target Lalu family
In the UPA I cabinet headed by Manmohan Singh, ministers from RJD quota were made only after transferring their real estate to RJD president Lalu Prasad family.
Former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Thursday produced documents to suggest ‘land and house’ as bribe to Lalu for becoming members of Manmohan Singh cabinet.
Modi released copies of the lease deed signed between former union minister Kanti Singh and Lalu’s wife Rabri Devi signed on March 16, 2006 through which 95 decimal land (30 kathas) was transferred to Rabri Devi on monthly rent of Rs 1250 till February 28,2105 on 90 years’ lease.
Land is at Saguna More in Patna. Kanti who was elected from Bikramganj constituency to Lok Sabha promised to pay electricity and municipal taxes even after lease agreement. Kanti was inducted into union cabinet after land deal was made in favour of Rabri Devi, former chief minister of Bihar.
Kanti was minister of state for human resources development and tourism in Manmohan Singh cabinet.
Modi claimed Raghunath Jha was inducted into union cabinet after he gifted palatial house at Gopalganj to Tejashwi and Tejpratap in 2005. House built on six kathas of land on National Highway was ‘gifted’ to Tejpratap and Tejashwi (then minors) by Raghunath Jha. Mrs Rabri Devi signed the gift deed as donee on behalf of her sons. He was included into Manmohan Singh cabinet and made minister of state for heavy industries.
Tickets were given to the RJD leaders for contesting legislature or parliamentary elections only after ‘bribes’ in form of land or house was paid to Lalu and his family members, he alleged and said hundreds got jobs in the railways after their parents donated land to Lalu family.
In a fresh salvo, the former deputy chief minister claims Raghunath Jha, Kanti Singh ‘bribed’ Lalu to become ministers in UPA I cabinet
