Standard of procedures will be followed: Nadda

Emphasisin­g the quality of healthcare services, Union Health Minister and Family Welfare JP Nadda said that the proper Standard of Procedures (SOP) should be follow in the healthcare sector. He was addressing a national conference during the diamond jubilee celebratio­n of Family Welfare Training and Research centre (FWTRC).

FWTRC had organised a two-day national conference on “developing quality essential health care services: Opportunit­ies and challenges to achieve SDGs” which was started on Friday.

He further stated that we should shift our focus from ‘Rog Se Nirog’ means one should come up with the preventive measures for curing the diseases.

Nadda further stated that we should discussed the issues and come with the solution which will help to strengthen the health care sector. “There should be discussion on issues and should find the solutions which could help to strengthen our healthcare system,” said Nadda.

Minister of Public Health, Dr Deepak Sawant, was also present at the occasion, said that when patients from different countries come here for treatment, a proper memorandum of understand­ing should be made between both the countries. “There should be proper SOPs and MOU for the patients coming from different countries for the treatment so that while dischargin­g or shifting the patient there should not be any problem,” added Dr Sawant.
