BMC contractors’ info will be centralised
The Municipal Commissioner Ajoy Mehta have issued a circular seeking that the details of all the civic contractors should be centralised by the concerned departments of the corporation from May 31.
A senior civic officials said that all the details of the contractors will be available at just one click and it will also ensure that contractors with the shoddy work will not get any contract in future from the corporation.
“Now all the details regarding the work done by the civic contractors will be uploaded with the concerned departments. By this it will be easier to know the quality and quantity of work done by the contractors,” said an official.
The official further stated that the ‘Quality Report’ of contractors work will be linked to Unique Identification Number (UID) of the contractors through a computer from May 31. “Due to the lack of information about the work done by the contractor, all the qualitative and quantitative work report should be attached to the UID number in the computer system (ERP/ SAP),” said Ajoy Mehta, the Municipal Commissioner.
In addition, the quality reports of work done by contractors are only saved at the respective department. The senior official said “The details information about contractual registration information, contractual work amount, work progress report, job quality report, information about the amount paid, information about the fine, the sale of the sacking or the degrading work is included in the contractor's black list will be uploaded.”
