-

Today organizations are operating in multiple environments and dealing with varied culture, thanks to the globalization which has brought the world closer. This has led to the rising expectations of the organizations from the employees; companies are looking for employees who can be the strategic partners for their business. To bring this transformation, management education plays an important role. Management education can transcend across geographical and cultural boundaries and at the same time adapt to the challenges of the local environment. Top varsity colleges are trusted as they have experienced faculty and established curriculum which works in alignment with the industry requirements. BRIMS through its PGDM programme tries to bridge a gap between industry and academic need.

Industrial Visit to Singapore

Nothing ever becomes real till it is touch felt and experienced. This was so true when BRIMS took PGDM students to Singapore. The main objective of the global industrial visit was to provide a unique experience to the students and share with them the good practices and the business strategies which make Singapore one of the developed countries. The 7 days journey started with a visit to national library of Singapore which was the crown jewel of the country. Students also got a chance to interact with eminent professors from NUS (National University of Singapore) and SMU (Singapore Management University). Further they visited industries like NEWater – which conveys Water for All- so conserve value and enjoy in a country where water is a scare resource. They also visited Sentosa Island, a barren land which was converted into an amusement park. This tour gave a different dimension to students’ learning, which cannot be gained in the classroom. Students treasured with them that Singapore has Speed and the technology which runs into their blood, their Customer centric approach, the lion city has very strong governance and a sturdy judiciary system.
