Delhi’s hotel Janpath knocked out
NEW DELHI: The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) on Wednesday approved "in principle" winding up of the Hotel Janpath near Connaught Circus here for using the property for construction of the government offices. The hotel property will be transferred by the government-owned India Tourism Development Corporation (TDC) to the Urban Development Ministry as part of the decision that running and managing hotels is not the work of the government or its entities under which three hotels in Bhopal, Guwahati and Bharatpur were disinvested in the first stage.
