Bhagwat praises PM
Contrary to the talk in the political grapevine of the country about the blow-hotblow-cold-relationship between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS), Dr Mohan Bhagwat, the RSS boss, on Wednesday heaped unlimited praise on the PM for his working style, commitment and sincerity.
At a book launch function, Dr Bhagwat said that all the world knows about Modi’s successful journey from Gujarat CM to the Prime Minister’s post, but what people should realise is the real reason why Modi is what he is today. “Modi faced very tough times in Gujarat initially but he overcame that to be where he is today and that shows his grit and determination,” he said.
Launching an impressive coffee table book on the PM: “The Making of a Legend,” by Sulabh toilets chain chief Dr Bindershwar Pathak, Dr Bhagwat said that if he had come to Delhi from Nagpur, it was not just to release a book but to appreciate the exceptional work being done by Sulabh International in the past five decades in the field of sanitation and cleanliness. “The sincerity of Pathak and that of Modi was almost at par and that is what I wish to underline,” he added.
Dr Pathak said that Modi was the first PM in independent India’s history to have made cleanliness and sanitation as the national agenda. The RSS sarsanghchalak went on to say that “while the entire world was lauding Narendra Bhai, I see no change in him as a swayamsewak...Modi has been the way he was when he was in the RSS” and that makes the crucial difference, he said.
