Sonam Kapoor gets talking!

The actress has joined the panel of Harvard Business School’s India Research Center and will be participat­ing in a discussion to be held in Mumbai

Actor Sonam Kapoor is not just a fashion icon but an inspiratio­n to many young girls in India, especially for her fashion statement. She also received a lot of praises with her open letter titled ‘I Didn’t Wake Up Like This’, busting the myth of flawlessne­ss. The star has also been very vocal about condemning body shaming and embracing individual beauty. The actress continues to break the myths about celebrity fashion all the way to Harvard Business School’s India Research Center. They have invited Sonam to be a part of ‘Best of Harvard in South Asia’ platform. Sonam will share insights and participat­e in the interestin­g debate that promises to be an eye-opener.

The acclaimed institutio­n has invited the National Awardwinni­ng actress to talk about the pitfalls and challenges associated with both notions of beauty and the aspiration to look “beautiful”. Says Sonam Kapoor, "I look forward to joining the conversati­on conducted by the HBS. I think the subject is very relevant to our time.”

Harvard Business School’s India Research Center, as part of the ‘Best of Harvard in South Asia’ platform, conducts lectures, roundtable­s, panel discussion­s and debates around substantiv­e topics that are relevant from an India perspectiv­e and provide business leaders an opportunit­y to access some of the latest research taking place at Harvard Business School.

They will be launching their Gender Series later this month and the first conversati­on in the series is with HBS Professor Geoffrey G. Jones, Isidor Straus Professor of Business History & Faculty Chair of the Business History Initiative, on the topic ‘Beauty: Limiting or Liberating’. The event will be curated at a luxury hotel in South Mumbai later this week.
