MUMBAI: A Shiv Sena Sakha Pramukh was electrocuted after he came into contact with a live electric wire at Ganpati pandal in Andheri east on Tuesday night. “A local resident was pulling wire from first floor of a building to install a series at bulbs at the Ganesh pandal in Sakinaka area of Andheri (w). He got an electric shock and fell down. The Shiv Sena Sakha Pramukh, Vaibhav Hande (30), who was standing nearby, rushed to rescue him, but accidentally touched the live wire and was electrocuted,” said Avinash Dharmadhikari, senior inspector of Sakinaka police station. Hande was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
