25-year-old man found murdered in Kalyan

MUMBAI: A 25- year-old youth was found murdered at Vinayak Colony in Kolsewadi, Kalyan on Friday night, officials said on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Salim Shaikh. The deceased was stabbed with a knife. Salim was the owner of a mobile shop at Kalyan. A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered at Kolsewadi police station against an unknown person for murder (Section 302) and common intention of the Indian Penal Code. Senior Police Inspector, N.Patil, Kolsewadi police station, said, ”An FIR has been registered against an unknown person. No CCTV footage of the incident is available as yet. We are speaking to the locals in the area as part of the investigation.“
