AAMIR KHAN LOVES LISTENING TO SRK
The actor says he is always curious to hear the King Khan narrate his stories
Bollywood is embroiled in one of the most controversial rifts, but there are some discords like the one between two superstars, Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, that seemed to have dissolved over time.
Aamir Khan recently said that his “friend” Shah Rukh Khan is an entertaining person and a wonderful storyteller. He also added that, while both of them are very curious as personalities, he is more curious as he prefers to listen to what the Shah Rukh says.
“I have sat with Shah Rukh many times. He is a very entertaining person to sit with. He is wonderful in telling stories. I love listening to him. I think between him and me, I am more curious because, I like to hear him talk. I like the way he narrates his stories. He really brings the moment alive. He is a wonderful storyteller and there is a great fun in listening to him,” says Aamir.
The 52-year-old star also said that he was disheartened that his and megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s looks from Thugs of
Hindostan were leaked online as he wanted to release the look officially in future.
“Ideally they (pictures) should not leak. It’s an important film. We would have liked to present the character in a particular time, in a particular way, which we will still do. If it wouldn’t have leaked, it would’ve been better. There’s nothing we can do about it now,” he exasperates.
“Everyone has a camera today, so how much will you control? Even in PK, my ‘ghagra’ look was out on the first day of shoot. We have to deal with it, that’s the reality,” the
Dil Chahta Hai star says. Talking about the precautionary measures taken, Aamir said he will not be clicking picture with the fans on the sets anymore. “We try to keep it as secret as possible. Normally, on shoots when fans come to meet me, I click a picture. But not during Thugs... because the fan will put the picture on social media. None of us are allowed to click photos in the getup. We take all these precautions,” Aamir informs.
Aamir is currently gearing up for the release of his production,
Secret Superstar, directed by his manager-turned-director Advait Chandan. Aamir plays a flamboyant music composer, which is a tough character for him as it is very different from himself.
“Why it is a tough role for me is because I have to feel like that character. When he is full of himself, I must feel ‘I am the best.’ It should come from within, which doesn’t normally come to me. I am always questioning my work. My natural instinct is to be critical of myself whereas this guy is not at all. He is sure that he is the best, no question about it,” he says.
Aamir also refuted the rumours that the character is inspired by music composer Anu Malik. “You may see glimpses of people but it’s not modelled on any one person. It’s not inspired by any one,” Aamir dismissed.
