Signal at Dindoshi

The installation of signal at Dindoshi opposite Bus depot in Goregaon east is a welcome step. However, on several occasions one can see the motorists, especially bike riders jump break the signal on all sides. Vehicles coming from depot side take a right turn to reach petrol pump which makes it difficult for pedestrians to cross the road from the Yashodham colony. Also the motorist going towards high way lines up right in between two signals. There is no zebra line to cross the road. The authorities should ensure that proper marking is done for those who cross the road at this place and motorists should not jump the signal. Is it possible for the authorities to post some one to monitor the situation at least for some time. —S S Nair
