Gujarat assembly battle is on

-

The royal battle is on for the Gujarat assembly polls as both the BJP and the Congress are vying to get maximum seats and form a government there. Amit Shah is from Gujarat and garners maximum support as in other states. Whereas Rahul Gandhi is trying to step into the State of Prime Minister Modi. The exchange of barbs between the two parties continue and the voters are made to look at them as sorry spectactors. Jibes fly between Amit Shah and Rahul Gandhi and it appears a vote bank politics taking place. BJP as the ruling party has firm roots in this part of the country. On the other hand, Congress lost its stalwarts in the state and look to facing a rubbing this time also under the leadership of the vice president. Road shows are common during the elections but allegations and counter

allegations gather momentum as both the parties are trying to establish their supremacy there. From Vadodara to Amethi both the parties are trying hard to win the heart of voters but the outcome in Gujarat is very vital for the Congress. Having won power in Punjab quite recently, there is an outside chance to make up the loss in the last three years. BJP is strong favorites to win in Gujarat State and in Amethi of course with a thin margin of victories. — Jayanthy S Maniam
