The actress has refuted rumours of reuniting with Akshay Kumar

After filmmaker Karan Johar announced his ambitious project Kesari, based on the battle of Saragarhi, has given rise to a lot of rumours. In the announcement Karan did announce the leading man as Akshay Kumar, but not the lead actress. While some reports said that actress Parineeti Chopra was finalised opposite Akshay, some announced that actress Katrina Kaif will reunite with Akshay after seven years.

Kesari are completely untrue. Katrina has not been offered the film,” says Katrina’s spokesperson.

Tees Maar Khan was the last time this audience-favourite pair was seen on screen.

Kesari has been making news since its inception first with Salman Khan’s inclusion in the project and then his exit from the same, then with clashing on the choice of topic with frenemy Ajay Devgn. It only makes sense that Katrina stays away from this controversial project involving her close friends.

Katrina Kaif’s last release was Anurag Basu’s directorial venture Jagga Jasoos. As of now, she has three big projects in her kitty. She stars in Aanand L Rai’s next film which will reunite her with Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma on screen.

Then she has just wrapped up shooting for Tiger Zinda Hai with Salman Khan. It is a direct sequel to her hit 2012 film Ek

Tha Tiger. And finally she has another YRF project titled Thugs of Hindostan. She stars alongside Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Fatima Sana Shaikh in this pirate adventure film.
