Power Grid net profit rises 14 pc to Rs 2,141 cr in Q2 State-run Power Grid Corp Thursday posted a 14 per cent increase in standalone net profit at Rs 2,141.04 crore for quarter ended on September 30, 2017 compared to the year ago period on the back of higher revenues. The company's net profit for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 was Rs 1,872 crore, Power Grid Corp stated in a BSE filing. Total income of the company in the second quarter rose to Rs 7,492.52 crore from Rs 6,480.20 crore in the same period year ago.
Vedanta Q2 net profit climbs 43% to Rs 2,036 crore Metals and mining conglomerate Vedanta Ltd's consolidated net profit jumped 43 per cent to Rs 2,036 crore for the July-September quarter, helped by strong commodity prices and higher zinc and copper output. The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 1,424 crore in the same quarter last year, Vedanta Ltd said in a filing to the BSE. Total income during the quarter increased to Rs Rs 22,466 crore, over Rs 18,154 crore in the year-ago period. Commenting on the result, Vedanta CEO Kuldip Kaura said the "PAT for the quarter was up... on the back of solid operational performance in our zinc and copper businesses, supported by strong commodity prices." Deepak Fertilisers Q2 PAT up 70 per cent at Rs 47.21 cr Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation (DFPCL) Thursday posted a 70 per cent growth in profit after tax (PAT) a consolidated basis at Rs 47.21 crore in the second quarter of this financial year, compared to the same period last year. DFPCL's PAT for second quarter of FY17 stood at 27.78 crore, the company said in a release issued here. The total income of the company grew by 27 per cent at Rs 1,233.93 crore in Q2 FY18 from Rs 968.44 crore in Q2 FY17.
Natco Pharma Q2 net up 27 pc at Rs 84 cr Natco Pharma on Thursday reported a 27.49 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 84.4 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2017. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 66.2 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Natco Pharma said in a filing to BSE. Consolidated total revenue of the company stood at Rs 432.2 crore for the quarter under review. It was Rs 471.1 crore for the same period a year ago.
Ujjivan Financial Services trims Q2 loss to Rs 12cr Ujjivan Financial Services has trimmed its net losses to Rs 11.95 crore for the second quarter of 2017-18 from that of Rs 73.01 crore in the same quarter of previous fiscal. Revenues of the company grew by 5.89 per cent to Rs 377.77 crore during the September quarter of 2017-18 from Rs 356.99 crore in same period of year ago.
