ALL IS WELL BETWEEN DEEPIKA AND HER CO-STARS

...or that’s how Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s team is trying to show the industrywallahs after reports of tiff among his actors from the upcoming film

One of the most hyped films of the year Padmavati’s pre-release antics seemed to be taking a wrong turn. After a ‘surprise’ visit by lead actress Deepika Padukone at the film’s 3-D trailer launch ruffled her costars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, sources reveal that this was all preplanned. Furthermore, it is also said that each cast member will promote the film separately at different events.

“At the 3D trailer launch, Deepika was asked to go by Sanjay Leela Bhansali himself as her date was with him. She was finishing some patchwork but he asked her to attend the event and complete her shoot after that. The moment she got done with the event, she returned for the shoot. The filmmaker is very clear on what he wants and there’s apparently a marketing strategy that the three of them will be promoted at different dates. A promotional schedule has been chalked out and Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh’s teams have been informed who will attend what and where,” says a source.

Apparently, Deepika was the only one to attend the 3D trailer launch of the film for which neither Ranveer nor Shahid were asked to go. According to few reports, this had irked both the male stars. Moreover, sources also say that Ranveer and Shahid are not on very good terms.

“Contrary to reports neither Shahid nor Ranveer was upset. Stars who work with Bhansali know that he controls the publicity and the actors have no hand in it at all. The actress merely followed what she was asked to do by her director. All three actors are very professional and will always obey their director’s requests whom they love and respect,” the source adds.

But rumours of the rift became stronger when Sanjay and Shahid were missing from Deepika’s party. The actress has hosted a success party of her new song

Ghoomar from the same film. A clarification has been sent out stating, “Sanjay is finishing shoot of the film and edit so he couldn't make it to Deepika’s party. Shahid and wife Mira Rajput are out of town on a family thing family event, so they couldn’t attend.” Ranveer and Deepika are also posting cosy photos from the party to quell the rumours of break up.
