Coffee Day posts 3-fold jump in Q2 net at Rs 59 cr Coffee Day Enterprise­s Ltd, which runs the popular Cafe Coffee Day chain, on Thursday reported over three-fold jump in consolidat­ed net profit at Rs 59.8 crore for the September quarter, mainly on account of exceptiona­l gain of Rs 53.2 crore. Its total income grew to Rs 902.9 crore during the quarter under review, up 21.93 per cent, as against Rs 740.5 crore in the correspond­ing quarter of the year-ago period, Coffee Day Enterprise­s said. State-run hydro power producer NHPC on Thursday reported 34.5 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 1,018.64 crore in the quarter ended on September 30, 2017 compare to the year ago quarter. The company's net profit was Rs 1,554.66 crore in quarter ended on September 30, 2016, NHPC Ltd said in a BSE filing today. Jagran Prakashan, the publisher of leading Hindi daily Dainik Jagran, on Thursday reported a decline of 16 per cent in its consolidat­ed net profit at Rs 72.23 crore for the September quarter of the current fiscal. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 86.05 crore during the July-September period a year ago, Jagran Prakashan said in a BSE filing. Its total income during the quarter under review was up 2.30 per cent to Rs 579.08 crore. JSPL Q2 net loss narrows to Rs 499 crore Jindal Steel and Power (JSPL) on Thursday said its consolidat­ed net loss narrowed to Rs 499 crore during the quarter ended September 2017. However, total income was higher at Rs 6,124.78 crore in Q2, it said.
