M&M Q2 net profit jumps 25% to Rs 1,332 crore

Home-grown utility vehicles major Mahindra and Mahindra on Friday reported a 24.79 per cent increase in standalone net profit at Rs 1,331.57 crore for the second quarter to September. The company had posted standalone net profit of Rs 1,067.03 crore in the yearago quarter. Revenue from operations for the quarter under review was at Rs 12,182.07 crore while it stood at Rs 11,446.14 crore in the same period last fiscal. The figures are not comparable due to GST implementa­tion from July this year, the company said in a BSE filing. The board of directors has recommende­d issue of bonus shares in the ratio of 1:1, which is one bonus share of Rs 5 each for every one fully paid-up share of Rs 5 each.

Allahabad Bank Q2 net rises 8 pc to Rs 70 cr

State-owned Allahabad Bank on Friday posted a 7.9 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 70.20 crore for the September quarter despite rise in non-performing assets (NPAs). The Kolkata-headquarte­red bank had registered a net profit of Rs 65.03 crore in the July-September quarter of the previous financial year. Total income remained flat at Rs 5,067.78 crore during the quarter.

Pfizer Q2 net dips 12 pc at Rs 111.15 crore

Drug firm Pfizer on Friday reported a 12 per cent dip in standalone net profit to Rs 111.15 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2017. Standalone revenue from operations rose to Rs 571.11 crore.

RCF Q2 net declines 75 pc to Rs 10.79 cr

State-owned Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertiliser­s (RCF) Friday posted a 75 per cent drop in its net profit at Rs 10.79 crore for the September quarter of the current fiscal. Its net profit stood at Rs 43.06 crore in the same period last year, the company said in a regulatory filing. Total income rose marginally to Rs 1,817.34 crore in the July-September period of the 2017-18 fiscal from Rs 1,791.69 crore in the year-ago period. —
