The Mumbai Ceramic Show

WHAT: The Tag Foundation welcomes you to the ‘The Mumbai Ceramic Show by participating ceramists: Anu Tandon Vieira, Ayushi Shriramwar, Khushboo Madnani, Khushboo Pandit, Manasvi Mhatre, Marisha Krishna, Pavan Baviskar, Rahul Jivne, Rushal Karale, Sejal Sethi, Shailesh Pandit, Shayonti Salvi, Sultana Khan, Sumathi Madhav Kalyan, Tejashree Sagvekar, Yashashri Shildhankar. This show is Curated by Shayonti Salvi and presented by Gallery Art & Soul. Ceramists understand nature and play with the elements of earth-water-fire and air, to transform these into everlasting pieces, through the art of ceramics. The art of pot making and ceramics goes back into the earliest findings of mankind’s existence. Working with earth is therapeutic. Many are embracing this art form as a way of stress relief. The artists wish to reach out to the community, for interactions and meaningful tie ups for the growth of artists, youth, and society at large. As artists, they also hold responsibility to share their skills and creations, to raise awareness and appreciation for this ancient art form. This exhibition attempts to bridge gaps in communication with a varied display of handmade ceramics and a wonderful array of workshops available to the art lover. Try your hand at any of these workshops and de-stress the way these potters do!
