Fake recruitmen­t agency cons 97 of Rs 32L, accused absconding

MUMBAI: A job placement agency has allegedly conned 97 people, mostly labourers, of Rs 32 lakh by promising them jobs in the Middle East. A First Informatio­n Report (FIR ) has been registered at Goregaon police station against three accused, who are still at large, after fleecing money from the job aspirants, said the police.The name of the fake job placement agency is Sunrise Recruitmen­t and it’s office was at Goregaon (west).The police said the job aspirants had approached the placement agency in January to March this year.The police said they had no certified licence to place the job aspirants in UAE and Qatar. But they fleeced Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000 from each job aspirant.
