MUMBAI: PIFA Colaba Under-19 and I.C. United Club were engaged in an absorbing contested before settling for an exciting 2-2 draw in a First Division encounter, played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel. In an evenly balanced encounter, I.C. United were well-served by striker Conrad Correia who scored the first goal in the fifth minute and the second in the 48thminute. The Colaba youngsters scored through Vinayak Singh in the ninth minute and Omkar Shinde in the 45th minute to force a draw and a division of two points. NEW DELHI: National hockey team skipper Manpreet Singh along with star players SV Sunil and Mandeep Singh have recently signed with the digital management company TSD Corporatio­n Ltd (TSD). However, he couldn’t continue his gold rush in the mixed seniors event as he narrowly missed out with a score of 624.6.

After scoring a 104.8, 104.7, 103.5 and 104.7 with his first four shots, Swaroop had put in a stellar performanc­e. However, Avani Lakhera’s first shot which fetched her a 106.2 proved to be pivotal towards her win as she finished with a score of 628.8 to leave the Maharashtr­a lad behind in third place to make him settle for a bronze.
