ate Winslet says she loves her job as an actor and will continue to be attached to it even when she is as old as 75. The 42-year-old actor said it was surreal for her to believe the heights she has achieved as an artiste in her 27- year-long career.“I’m the most unlikely person to be in the position I’m in right now... I love this job. I love it more than ever, and I will still love it when I’m 75...” Winslet said in the Awards Chatter’ Podcast with The Hollywood Reporter. The Oscar-winning actor, who recently featured in Woody Allen’s dramedy said initially she was unsure about playing a bad mother, Ginny Rannell in the film.“I just didn’t think I knew how to play the part, I just didn’t think I had the stuff to be able to do it. Everything Ginny feels is gigantic... She’s an awful mother, and I don’t like playing people who are bad mothers...There were many, many reasons why I was nervous to play it, because I felt like I could have got it wrong so easily,” she said.

Stallone splurges $400,000 on Rocky statue

eteran actor Sylvester Stallone has splashed out over USD 400,000 on his replica Rocky statue from The star handed over the hefty amount for the replica after making an anonymous bid at it in an auction, reported TMZ. The statue is nine-foot-tall, weighs 1800lbs and was purchased by Stallone for USD 403,657, before being shipped to Los Angeles. It was made by the artist, A Thomas Schomberg, and the original, which was used in the movie, has been put on display in Philadelphia. This one had been displayed in the San Diego Hall of Champions but it had to be sold off after the place closed down.

ooks like Meghan Markle was just one short step away from becoming an iconic figure in Hollywood. According to the Mirror, the 36year-old star was said to be shortlisted as Daniel Craig’s next Bond girl but her blossoming romance with Prince Harry ruled her out of the line-up. A source said,“The role more recently has gone to actresses deemed to be rising stars, and Meghan certainly was seen as that before her relationship with Harry became public.”

Also on the shortlist was star Ilfenesh Hadera, 32, who they thought could become one of Daniel Craig’s love interests in the upcoming Bond film, which will be released in 2019. According to a leading US newspaper, the producers were thinking of casting a rising star and Meghan was seen as that before her relationship with Harry became public.

Harry’s fiancée would have joined the likes of Bond girls Eva Green, Lea Seydoux and Gemma Arterton. Markle starred on ‘Suits’ as Rachel Zane for seven seasons. Her other credits included Anti-Social, Horrible Bosses and Remember Me.
